Add AC Repair and Service to Your Spring To-Do List 04/28/2016Spring is finally here. We’re pretty sure your to-do list already feels too long, but we have a couple things that can save you some trouble and keep you cozy in the months to come. The weather is going to start heating up in Great Falls and the last thing you want is to uncover is that you’re facing an AC repair. Going through this short checklist now may save you from sweating this summer. Inspect Your Air Filter and Ducts Swapping your air filter makes it to almost each and every single of our lists of things to check because it's so important and so often forgotten. If your air filter is a mess, your system will have to work harder to keep you comfy. This costs you more money and causes more wear and tear which diminishes the life and efficiency of your system. Your ducts and registers are another piece of the puzzle that is often neglected as well. While you're spring cleaning, take off the covers from your registers and vacuum inside them. While you have the covers removed, soak them in mild dish soap, give them a scrub and swap them after they've dried. Clean Your Outdoor Unit Keep any outdoor units free of debris such as grass clippings, leaves or plant overgrowth. This debris can inhibit your system and cause it to lower its efficiency. Schedule Your Annual AC Tune-Up This is where we come in to help you take on that to-do list. An annual AC tune-up lengthens the life of your system and keeps it running at peak efficiency. Spring is the best time to set up your tune-up so any problems or AC repair that needs to be made can be taken care of before the hot summer months. The cost of a tune-up is a little investment into the lifespan of your system. Think of it as giving your air conditioner an oil change. We can't help you with your entire spring to-do list, but we can help you with all things involving your home comfort. We want to be sure you’re cool and comfortable all summer long.
